Beauty, The Liturgy and Life...Introducing one of the Sanctum Catholicam Conference Presenters

We are pleased to introduce Mark Nowakowski, one of the
Sanctum Catholicam Conference presenters.

Mark Nowakowski is a composer whose music has been performed internationally and recently released on a new Naxos disc garnering ample praise from Gramophone magazine. He is also an Assistant Professor of Music at Kent State University, and is currently finishing his first book "In Pursuit of Beauty: An authentic Catholic examination of music, the arts, and aesthetics." His reversion into the Catholic Church, and subsequently the traditional Mass, was lead in large part by an authentic rediscovering of the Catholic concept of Beauty and the role of the arts in the life of man. In his talk he will discuss what Catholics should really mean when they consider the "beautiful," clarify an authentically Catholic approach to the arts, discussing where the good and true meets the beautiful in liturgy and life.
